X-Ray

An X-ray machine is indispensable in a veterinary practice. We use a digital X-ray system, which allows the images to appear directly on a screen for better evaluation.

In the clinic

Most X-rays can be taken with the animal awake, as long as it allows for it. Sometimes, it is necessary to sedate the animal slightly, for example, when taking images of elbows, hips, and other joints.

When X-rays are taken, they are evaluated by the veterinarian on the same day. If there is any doubt about the interpretation, the images are reviewed by a specialized radiologist.
