A healthy life starts with the right nutrition. Nowadays there are so many pet food brands on the market that it's easy to lose sight of what’s what. Raw meat, high-protein diets, vegetarian options, home-cooked meals, steamed ready-made meals — what do you prefer, and what is truly best for your four-legged friend?

 

With Feedwise, an online software program developed by a veterinary nutrition specialist, we can calculate the actual nutritional needs of your dog or cat and determine which diet suits him or her best. Whether it’s a 10-week-old puppy or a 10-year-old British Shorthair with chronic kidney disease — every animal receives fully personalized advice! 

With a Feedwise profile of your pet, we can:

  • Calculate the current diet 
    • And provide recommendations for adjustments if needed 
  • Guide a weight-loss program 
  • Monitor your puppy’s or kitten’s growth and make adjustments where needed 
  • Provide diet suggestions from different brands for specific medical conditions 
  • Create a customized home-prepared diet

  2. Are there currently any gastrointestinal issues (vomiting/diarrhoea? If yes, how often?)  
  3. Do you prefer to feed dry food, wet food, fresh meat, or a combination? 
  4. Are there any ingredients, flavours, or brands you prefer to avoid in the diet? 
  5. Are there other pets in the household that we should take into account? 
  6. How is your pet currently being fed? For example: free feeding (food always available), twice a day, with an automatic feeder, etc.  

 

Next steps

 

After receiving the form and the payment of the invoice, we will start working on the Feedwise profile. Within 1 week, you will receive the personalised nutrition plan as a PDF. If the plan includes long-term guidance, please send your pet’s weight every 2 weeks via feedwise@dierenkliniekdepijp.nl. If you weigh your dog at the reception desk, please inform the assistants that it is for a Feedwise program. If you would like to have your cat weighed, please schedule a weighing appointment with the assistants or borrow our scale for a day.
