My name is Catherine Joy. I am very pleased to have joined the team at Dierenkliniek de Pijp in September 2019. I studied veterinary medicine at University College Dublin in Ireland, graduating in June 2017. After this, I moved to the UK to begin my career and worked for two years at a small animal hospital north of London.

I have wanted to be a vet for as long as I can remember, and I feel fortunate to be doing this in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. I moved here in August and am enjoying the Dutch lifestyle so far! In my spare time I like cooking, getting to know the city better and I also love to travel.

I grew up with cats as a child as well as a much loved collie called Jessie. I love both cats and dogs equally, as well as the smaller furries. I am looking forward to getting to know the local pets and people of de Pijp.
